Pakistan actively participated in the Fourth South Asian Speakers’ Summit on achieving the SDGs. The delegation under the Leadership of Deputy Speaker Mr. Qasim Khan Suri presented Pakistan’s case and how the current Government is focused on the Promotion of Youth and its well-being.MNA, Convener – Parliamentary Task Force on SDGs, Mr Riaz Fatyana briefed about the Government’s strategy on controlling the hazardous effects of Climate Change. Pakistan also discussed the importance of providing food & Nutrition as promised by the Constitution of Pakistan, discussing the importance of good hygiene and healthy development to achieve SDG 3. Further, Pakistan highlighted the ongoing tensions regarding the Regional conflicts and how it is hindering the process of achieving SDGs.
